A Process for Addressing Challenging Behaviors for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

This training will provide participants with a framework for addressing challenging behaviors sometimes exhibited by people with ASD. Participants will learn how to reframe their thinking in addressing challenging behaviors exhibited by a person with ASD by understanding the behavior as a feature or characteristic of the person's neurobiological disability of ASD. A particular focus on identifying positive behavioral support strategies to prevent the occurrence of challenging behaviors in people with ASD will be given as best practices behavior intervention programs.
