Konsult Inc. is a Pharmacy Benefit Manager, which warehouses data for pharmacies, nursing homes and HMOs, and provides reporting. It also develops software for Consulting Pharmacist.
Responsibilities:
- Project Manager for developing a system to cleanse Medicare and Medicaid data,
received from long-term care facilities, prior to loading the data into
a large-scale data warehouse. Responsible for entire life cycle of gathering
information, planning, analyzing, designing, coding, testing, documenting,
implementing and maintaining applications for processing the data and automating
reports. The development toolset was based upon Oracle database technology including
PL/SQL packages and Developer 2000 Forms/Reports. Unix Shell scripting was also used.
This project resulted in producing significant new opportunities for Konsult Inc
to generate revenue.
- Assisted in developing process to cleanse medical and prescription
data captured by Konsult's Pharmacy Consultant software prior to loading
the data into a data warehouse. Responsible for analyzing, designing,
coding, testing, and documenting using Oracle database technology.
This project allowed Konsult Inc to generate comprehensive reports
from the data produced by their consultant software.
- Automated the processing of master lookup tables needed
in all of their data warehouse applications. The automation of
these routines reduced typical application programming effort by 30 percent.
- Automated reports and jobs using SQL, PL/SQL, Developer 2000
Reports and Unix Shell scripting. These automations helped to
reduce the time and human intervention needed to run reports and
other maintenance jobs.
- Created hundreds of comprehensive reports from all of
their data warehouses

William Michael's, Ltd is an accounting firm, which specializes in the management of 401K plans for a variety of companies.
Responsibilities:
- Gathered information, planned, analyzed, designed, coded, tested,
documented, implemented and maintained database and multi-user interactive
network applications. These applications managed accounting transactions
that updated a centralized database and produced numerous reports. The
technology and toolset used was based upon FoxPro 2.6 for Windows. These
applications were central to the business of the firm and provided
mission-critical services.
- Assisted in maintaining the firm's user network of workstations and servers
- Performed installation and troubleshooting services for a Novell 3.12 10BaseT network
Programmer/Analyst
Olsen's Mill Direct
May 1992 - June 1994
Olsen's Mill Direct is a mail order service, which markets clothing products to consumers.
Responsibilities:
- Gathered information, planned, analyzed, designed, coded, tested,
documented, implemented and maintained database and multi-user interactive
network applications. These applications managed the transactions associated
with processing orders by mail and merchandise returns. These transactions
updated a centralized database using Clipper 5.2 technology. These
applications were critical to the operation of the business and allowed
the company to be financially viable.
